History: The Silent Stronghold of Kakamega has been passed down through four generations of Bagheera, right down to Zola after the death of her grandmother. Despite the implications of Zola’s name, the Bagheera has secured this particular Den Realm with a ferocity that she was not equipped with in her earlier years. Hanshii has often been brought upon the young Tilau, and each time she has proven herself worthy of the territory time and again. After she established an alliance with the Ahadi in her years as an Aka, she opened the territory to it’s weary travelers. Tentatively, of course.

History: The Maauti family has protected the wallow since the Memory of their Ancestors. It suffered several attacks during the Great Race of invasions from the English, Germans and French in the early days of colonization, but the families who resided within its depths have prevailed.

History: It is rumored that this site was retrieved during the struggle against Black Tooth and the Endless Storm and was taken from a few of Black Tooth’s own after the fall of his infamous pride. The twin, feline brothers held their own in Hanshii against many other interested Simba. The challenges were ultimately won over by the twins, as the threat of two ranking Simba, bonded in life and purpose, was a greater force than could be overcome by the other solitary challengers. After territory was established, the brothers opened it as an offering to the Ahadi.

Occupants: The Ahadi has lost track of how many occupants reside within this river and camp. Because of the yearly Great Wildebeest Migration, the population is thriving as are the Kinfolk that have expertly set up camps for tourists. This keeps the area safe and still leaves the Mokole-Mbembe who reside here at peace. Those who wish to know more about its occupants need only contact one of the local Mokole. It is said they have a certain talent for remembering their families.
History: Because of the Great Migration, several tourists flock to Grumeti River and its camp during the migration season where they might catch a glimpse of a cruising crocodile that is expecting lunch. The extensive and luxurious accommodations are provided by the village kinfolk during the migration season. In the off-season, often opens its doors to passing Ahadi members. The Mokole here hold special ties with Remembers-The-Future, one of the Islands most valuable occupants, who once made his home here, in Grumeti, to live within the confines of the Island. Grumeti River and its Camp has become one of the most powerful Wallows the nation-wide because of its protected status and it’s powerful, yet cunning occupants.
