Ahadi Chronicle

The major theme within Ahadi: East Africa is, of course, Cooperation.

Cooperation within the changing breeds can and will be difficult for all those involved in Ahadi: East Africa. However, in joining the Ahadi, your character has made a commitment to better the efforts in the struggle against your Ultimate Foe.

While your character is built to retain all emotionally charged views of how things ‘should’ be run, it is your duty, through collaborative efforts, to make it as smooth a transition as possible.

While cooperation is the theme of this game, it is also your greatest challenge. It is a goal and one that is not easily achieved. The Fera are not, by nature, a united race. They are not like Garou who are able to rely on pack-tactics, definitive leadership, and a structured society.

The members of the Ahadi are bound by one thing, their word in honoring their pact. Collaborative efforts must be made in order for these characters to get along. Friendships may be made along the way, even proverbial ‘packs’ will be harbored. But, truth be told, most of these creatures have never encountered one another and there is a sort of mysticism that eludes them to believe that they are superior in all views.

Rewards

The Rewards: Enlightenment

All things considered, getting to know your comrades may seem like an impossible feat. However, once you do learn the valuable lessons the other breeds may have to teach you, your character may reach a sense of enlightenment.

Through mystery and battle they will achieve great renown, lore and knowledge that will apply directly to these stories. They will obtain a sense of spiritual enlightenment as they begin to discover that all these differing cosmologies are, in some senses, connected to the greater purpose.

It is possible that your character will learn that all they once took for truth, was merely the babbling of an old fool who conveniently forgot to add details to the stories you were given. There is nothing more damaging to history than the glorification of Elders seeking to better themselves in the light of the next generation. Characters will learn of similarities, shared struggles and their true duties to Gaia and their beloved home, Africa.

Your goal is to get along with each other while, still, getting your tasks done. The struggle will be great, but the rewards, greater.

There are a few types of struggle involved in Ahadi: East Africa. One of which is, of course, the battle against all who oppose Gaia. Within this belief system you will find other characters, like-minded, willing to join you in the battle. And the battle itself will indeed be intense. After the fall of Black Tooth and his pride, The Endless Storm, something woke beneath the sands of the Kalahari. All who witnessed these events will not speak of the atrocity it brings or how it has affected them. Thousands of these events are sweeping the Continent every day and efforts to reverse them have been futile.

Africa is called ‘The Dark Continent’ for a reason. Flourishing landscapes covered in a never-ending variety of fauna and flora, often seem overwhelmingly beauteous. But don’t let the landscape fool you, the inner cities are struggling. The rich fight the poor and the poor have no choice but to become criminals or poachers. The cities are corrupt with politicians who lie, cheat and steal. Animals, being killed for sport or trade are left in shambles with failing populations. Hundreds of epidemics have struck Africa in the last century. Poverty, AIDS, Malaria, Tuberculosis. Thousands of people die every minute of every day and though efforts have been made to reverse these adverse effects of the corruption sweeping their beautiful continent, they continue to lose ground.

Africa is not without the corruption of the Ultimate Foe. It is teaming with Vampires, tainted creatures, diseased wildlife. Thousands of inexplicable events occur every day from one end of Africa to another. It is now your job to keep the beasts at bay. You have been groomed to team up in a collaborative effort in saving Africa from the adverse effects of a corrupt society, a diseased land and people who are struggling to find hope in these Final Days.

Though the Mokole are a strong race, they come from different streams, born in different aspects. Though the Bastet are united in their purpose most are, by nature, anti-social creatures (save for perhaps the Swara and Simba). The eight remaining tribes of twilight struggle to get along within their own kind. Corax are divided by breed and often find it hard to get along seeing as they all would like to speak at once. Others find them to be sneaky and too secretive for comfort. Garou, definitively have been a race that is looked down upon by all members of the Fera due to scars left by The War of Rage. The Ajaba are split by their beliefs, their hierarchy and their ‘dark side’ which has reportedly been joining with the Black Spiral Dancers.

Personally, all characters will be separated by their own walks of life, religions, beliefs, cosmology and political views. East Africa is no small place. Characters from different countries will inevitably grow up with different views, from different places with different economies and political involvement. Though they may live on the same continent, East Africa has a plethora of ecologies and societies. Be very aware of your characters views and be prepared to argue them with other Shifters. There will, inevitably, be struggle.
