Breeding

Pregnancy, mating and breeding are choices made by the player or players in question. Pregnancy is a choice and as such does not require a roll or system for characters to conceive. WereBeasts, by nature, are extremely fertile and extremely passionate creatures. Characters must realize however, that because of our NPC system for kinfolk is in place, there isn't and should never be a reason for Metis to be produced. There are, we realize, extreme circumstances in which this can happen. So we will go over a few key points on this question:

Feral Characters and Mating:

The following animals mate for life: Ravens, Wolves and African Hunting Dogs.

Feral creatures, by nature, are attracted to their own kind. Feral shifters will not find humans or other species attractive in the slightest and as such, seek out their own kind to breed.

Many species do not stay with their mates during pregnancy. The purpose is to add their genes to the proverbial melting pot of their kind and move on. This is particularly true of large cat species. Male animals often do not stick around to rear their young. The exceptions are listed above in which certain animals mate for life.

Inter-Member Breed Mating:

If it is a blaspheme for two Garou to mate, it's a serious stain on Gaia's laws to mate with other Shifter Breeds.

Some shifters in the Ahadi do not agree with looking down upon their Metis, such as Bastet. This does not mean it is not looked down upon by the Bastet Nation and the Ahadi. Bastet even have a specific 'bad word' for those who Bastet who engage in breeding activities with another Bastet.

Some shifters cannot produce Metis, such as the Mokole. This, also, does not make it okay for these shifters to mate. In some cases it creates dire spiritual consequences for the Breeds participating in such an activity. It is still looked down upon, heavily.
The Shifters of Africa have always had issues with getting along. The formation of the Ahadi is not an excuse to create Metis. It is every Shifter's duty to mate and breed with their Kinfolk, not other shifters. The Ahadi will punish any and all offenders.
If this does happen to come into play for any reason, the Metis will be born the Member Breed of the Mother, with no connections or ties to the Father. Ahadi: East Africa does not support 'Hybrid' characters.

Birth in the Eastern Axis

All births will be considered behind the scenes on Ahadi: East Africa. There are two reasons for this ruling:

Infants, even born in a Sept or Place of Power, are terrified of Rage. It is because of this that all children are given to the Kinfolk for rearing. A screaming baby will often times send a rage-filled creature into a frenzy. It is safer for the children to be born and raised outside of Ushirikiano Kisiwa where they can receive proper care and attention.

Players should be focusing on their characters rather than NPCs such as children. Players are not entitled to play NPC characters, as such there should be no reason for any children to be played on Ahadi: East Africa.

While a heart-wrenching fact of parenthood as a creature of Gaia, this is a necessity that is upheld in the Ahadi. Safer for the children and parent(s) in question, it can be assumed that none of their children will be 'lost' or 'misguided' as Kinfolk of the Ahadi will be caring for them. This is effective for the Ahadi Nation and the Nation of the Member Breed in question.

Cyber Sex and Black Dog Scenes on Ahadi: East Africa

As mentioned above, all Kinfolk characters (which should be your chosen mates) are not supported as Player Characters on this chat. That being the case, there is no reason for Characters to breed for any reason, nor is there a reason to engage in Cyber Sex or Black Dog Scenes.

That being said, Ahadi: East Africa's standing on Cyber Sex and Black Dog Scenes is that they are not allowed for any reason. Doing so on the Chat is an offense that can and will cause Storytellers to un-approve any and all characters, as well as a possible banning from the chat. There are plenty of websites online that will allow you to sate your needs as an individual that are unrelated to Online Gaming and this Website. For those seeking to avoid these consequences through dishonesty or deception, please keep in mind that all rooms on Ahadi: East Africa are logged. This includes Private Rooms. Your logs will be looked through, so it is best that players take these types of urges elsewhere. You are here to game.

This being the case, there is no reason for you to engage in these activities. If characters decide to pursue a relationship together that is beyond a packmate or friendship status, the Players accepts the consequences of scorn, renown loss and general disdain from all characters involved in the Ahadi. Such actions are not and should not be taken if one expects to keep a good political standing in the Ahadi.

While Ahadi: East Africa deals with mature contents such as violence, famine, pandemics, epidemics, political corruption, etc., these themes will be supervised and run by a responsible member of Ahadi's staff.
